Universe: Super Mario / Yoshi
Debut: Super Mario World (SNES (JP, 1990; NA, 1991))
A Yoshi is a species of dinosaur-like creatures in the Mario universe that can lay eggs, have long, chameleon-like tongues, and can eat almost anything. They come in a variety of different colors, with green being the most common. These creatures have helped Mario out on many of his adventures.
Trivia
- Yoshi is the only main character in Chronicles of Illusion to represent two universes (unlike Wario and Donkey Kong).
- In the Super Mario World TV series, the Yoshis are referred to as "Yoshisaurs."
