Street Fighter is a series of fighting video games by Capcom. Its playable characters originate from around the world, each with their own unique fighting style. The series is Capcom's second best-selling video game franchise, enjoying significant success all around the world.
The first game of the series was released in 1987. However, it did not achieve the same worldwide popularity as its sequel, Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, when it was released in 1991. Since then, other main series games, as well as various spin-offs and crossovers, have been released.
