Kung Fu Panda is a movie franchise by DreamWorks Animation. Set in a fantasy wuxia genre version of ancient China populated by humanoid animals, the film series features the adventures of a bumbling giant panda named Po Ping, who was improbably chosen as the prophesied Dragon Warrior. Although his status is initially doubted, Po proves himself worthy as he strives to fulfill his destiny and learn about his past with his new friends.
As of now, the Kung Fu Panda franchise consists of three feature films, as well as five shorts and a television series for Nickelodeon. All three films have received highly positive reviews, with critics often praising the animation, voice acting, and character development.
